Looking to grow your business within NSW? If you fill a new position between 1 July 2015 and 30 June 2019, a new employee might not be the only benefit you receive. To encourage small businesses to increase employment rates of full-time, part-time and casual staff, the Small Business Grant has been designed.
Under the Small Business Grant, businesses who do not pay payroll tax are eligible for the grant for each new NSW Full-Time Equivalent (FTE) employee. Provided you meet the eligibility requirements and register on the Office of State Revenue (OSR) website within 60 days of hiring, the money is yours when the employee celebrates their first anniversary.
