Today’s episode is part one of a two-part series where we are talking to Stephen Groves, who is a director at Quinn M & A, and who deals with mid-market transactions in sales, mergers & acquisition, and valuation advice. In this episode, we will drill into the topic of why everything other than price makes or breaks a deal. We’re sure you’ll find these two episodes useful listening, and today we are launching into Part 1.
Episode Highlights:
- Why do we need to worry about anything other than getting the most money that we possibly can?
- Warranties to incorporate in a transaction
- Identifying buyers who might be unsuited to a transaction
- The importance of preliminary due diligence
- Taking it one step at a time and doing things properly.
In this episode, we are talking about the topic of why everything other than price makes or breaks a deal. This is a two-part series and here in part one, we traverse a lot of topics that may not bet front of mind for buyers and sellers at many points in the acquisition process, but really should be.
We look at the thorny topic of warranties, and at how we might identify buyers that may be unsuited to a particular transaction. And we look at the topic of preliminary due diligence.
We also talk about some of the issues that advisors in the mid-market space often face in relation to how it is that they can ensure that they’re properly remunerated for focussing on the long term benefit of their clients.
